Dr. Jill Doan

Dr. Doan often says she is “as Wolverine as it gets.”   She earned her Bachelor’s Degree (majoring in English) in 2000, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2004 and her Master’s Degree in Periodontics in 2007.  She was named a Kramer Scholar finalist, recognizing her as one of the top residents in the country.  For her research on inflammatory bone loss, she received two national honors: the Volpe Prize (given by Colgate and The Ohio State University) and the Orban Award (given by the American Academy of Periodontology).

After practicing and teaching in downtown Chicago for six years, she returned home with her husband and two children, purchasing an existing practice in 2013.  She proudly became a faculty member with the University of Michigan Graduate Periodontics Department and is a strong supporter of the VINA dental clinic for those in need.  She enjoys serving the Brighton community and looks forward to many more years here!
